KOYAH Kale Powder vs. Fresh Organic Kale

Nutrient Retention:

  • KOYAH Kale Powder: We use the freeze-drying process, which helps retain most of the nutrients found in fresh kale. This includes vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The freeze-drying process ensures that the nutrients are preserved without the need for preservatives or additives.

  • Fresh Organic Kale: Fresh kale is naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Concentration:
  • KOYAH Kale Powder: Because it is concentrated, a small amount of KOYAH kale powder can provide the same amount of nutrients as a larger quantity of fresh kale. This makes it convenient for those who want to increase their nutrient intake without consuming large volumes of vegetables. For example, 1 scoop of our organic freeze-dried kale powder is equivalent to 1 cup of fresh organic kale.

  • Fresh Organic Kale: While fresh kale is less concentrated, it provides a high water content, which can be beneficial for hydration.

    Convenience:

    • KOYAH Kale Powder: The powder is easy to store, has a long shelf life, and can be added to smoothies, soups, sauces, and other recipes without the need for washing, chopping, or cooking. It’s especially convenient for those with busy lifestyles or limited access to fresh produce.
    • Fresh Organic Kale: Fresh is always best! It's great to chew your vegetables. On the other hand, fresh kale requires more preparation and has a shorter shelf life. It needs to be washed, chopped, and cooked or blended, which can be time-consuming.

    Taste and Texture:

    • KOYAH Kale Powder: The powder has a different texture compared to fresh kale. It can be easily mixed into recipes without altering the texture significantly. Our kale powder, tastes like fresh organic kale.
    • Fresh Organic Kale: Fresh kale has a distinct texture and taste, which can vary depending on how it is prepared (raw, steamed, sautéed, etc.). It can add a crunchy or hearty element to dishes.

    Usage:

    • KOYAH Kale Powder: Ideal for those looking to supplement their diet with additional nutrients easily. It’s perfect for adding to drinks, baked goods, or other recipes where you want the nutritional benefits without altering the texture significantly.
    • Fresh Organic Kale: Best used in salads, as a side dish, or in recipes where its texture and flavor can be appreciated. Fresh kale is also great for juicing or making kale chips.

    Environmental Impact:

    • KOYAH Kale Powder: The freeze-drying and packaging process may have an environmental impact, but the longer shelf life can reduce food waste.
    • Fresh Organic Kale: Organic farming practices are generally more sustainable, but fresh produce can spoil quickly, leading to potential food waste.

    Conclusion

Both KOYAH kale powder and fresh organic kale have their own unique benefits. KOYAH kale powder offers convenience, easier way to get more vegetable nutrients, and versatility in usage, making it an excellent option for those with busy lifestyles or looking for a concentrated nutrient source. Fresh organic kale, on the other hand, provides a rich taste, texture, and hydration benefits, making it ideal for fresh consumption. Choosing between the two depends on your dietary needs, lifestyle, and culinary preferences.

Sounds to me, perhaps, both in your diet would be great. My other question is rather tricky. And, you probably don’t know. What about chlorophyll? Have read in a couple of books that chlorophyll is healing. When you eat or drink it in smoothies and go outside, the sun’s rays change the chlorophyll in your system. It becomes more healing and repairing to your cells. At 76 figure the more help the better. Also thinking no one has studied this issue. What do you know about this phenomenon? Please?
